Dala horses - singles
Long ago in the Dalarna region of Sweden, woodland workers would while away the long winter evenings by carving simple toy horses for their children.
Over the decades, various villages developed their own distinctive patterns and began to sell their horses further afield. Soon they became an important source of rural income and the ‘Dala’ horses became so popular that they are now seen as an authentic symbol of Sweden.
At Norse Horse Decor we model our own air-dry clay versions of these little horses, painting them in a modern colour palette and threading them with blonde wood beads.
Our Dala horses can be hung on your Christmas tree, used as a gift tag or given as a present during Advent.
A single horse purchase comes with an accompanying Christmas card in complementary colours and information about the history of the horses.
Personalise your horse with one or two words such as a family name or a message to a loved one for the same price. Please use the contact form to send me a message.
